Provides analysis and interpretation of results, along with the preparation of financial and operating reports/tools to provide a basis for management forecasting, planning and performance appraisal. Typically develops business case evaluations and participates in the decision-making process. Typically has P & L responsibilities for the assigned business.Duties & Responsibilities:1) Sets direction to analyze major company initiatives and influence change required for productivity improvements or growth: Product Business teams, Manufacturing Excellence and Rationalization, Marketing Programs, acquisitions and Business Cases. 2) Prepares, reviews, analyzes and interprets all financial and budgetary reports for management. Communicates results to ensure timely and effective decision making. Manages the month end close and quarterly forecasting process for assigned business and functions. 3) Ensures proper internal controls are in place across the organizations supported. Provides data and /or assists in establishing major accounting objectives or policies for the division 4) Provides key financial advice on past and future operating activities. Influences definition, implementation and tracking of key performance metrics. 5) Researches trends and identifies deviations from targets. Makes recommendations based on findings. 6) Oversees the efficient operation and cost-effectiveness of operating systems and programs and identifies and implements improvements to key processes and systems. 7) Interfaces with outside auditors at quarter and year-end as well as internal auditors on an as-needed basis. 8) Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the accounting staff and provides goals, reviews performance, coaches and supports the accounting staff in the pursuit of departmental objectives, as required. 9) Will interface with and may be required to coordinate activities with the transportation segment, a counterpart. 10) May be required to travel on an occasional basis.Qualifications: 1) CPA, CMA, MBA, preferred 3) 10+ years experience in Accounting / Finance Submit Your Resume Online NowSchneider Electric Company is an equal opportunity employer.
