Summary of Position:

 

Reporting to the Corporate Quality Manager, this position is responsible to provide leadership for quality support to all divisions of the corporation to ensure that the material shipped to customers meets company and customers quality requirements.  To provide leadership for maintaining existing programs, new systems development and implementation, procedures improvement and any related quality activity. 

 

 

Essential Job Duties:

 

·  Introduce, develop, implement and maintain ISO 9001-2000 registration.

·  Must be capable of developing and implementing training programs for all levels of employees in the ISO and corporate quality requirements.

·  Conduct quality audits at various Divisions.

·  Lead ISO audits with our ISO Registrar at various Divisions.

·  Write and maintain quality manual and ISO documentation

·  Provide technical and quality support to suppliers.

·  Review quality trends, track root cause of problems and coordinates corrective actions with both internal and external customers.

·  Provides technical advice to material review boards (MRB), evaluate discrepant material and decide its disposition as needed.

·  Provides input and recommendations to management on quality process and procedural improvements.

·  Interact with personnel from a variety of different functional groups including sales, inside sales, assets, warehouse, and MIS group.

·  Will participate in the evaluation of customer returns to identify failure mode and implementation of corrective action as necessary.

·  Will be knowledge point for regulatory issues such as UL/CSA, NAFTA, OSHA, FDA, FAA, and ISO in order to ensure Corporate compliance.

·  Will host customer audits for priority customers

·  Will audit and report on the performance of the quality system to management

·  Some travel required


Job Requirements:

 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology.Strong background in Quality with 5-10 years experience in manufacturing or distribution environment as a Quality Engineer.  Working knowledge of ISO 9001-2000 Quality System requirements.Experience in Military or ISO Quality System Auditing ASQ certification desiredStrong command of the English language, excellent writing skills. Must be computer literate. (Microsoft Office including familiarity with Excel and Word)
