Corporate Quality Manager

Open Position: Corporate Quality Manager

 

POSITION SUMMARYThe Corporate Quality Manager will provide ‘hands-on” leadership in defining and implementing a corporate quality plan designed to continually improve PRIMA products and services through implementation of recognized quality management standards, quality improvement strategies, and demonstrated best practices.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership in defining and implementing a quality management plan within each division.  Plans will be developed with division management and reflect the specific nature of the business (products and services) of each division.Monitor and report on progress in achieving goals of the divisional quality management plans. Define corrective action plans as required to achieve these goals. Develop and institutionalize standard approaches and tools for ensuring quality and robustness of product designs and of manufacturing and test processes. Document and lead in implementing standard methods for identifying and prioritizing opportunities to improve quality and reliability of current products based on input from various sources including internal and external customers and suppliers.  Document methods for measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.Manage periodic audits of divisional quality systems and of procedures for product design and development, assembly, customer support, and other key business processes. Provide instruction and support for implementing Quality tools (e.g. Statistical Process Analysis/Control [SPC], Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility [GR&R], Failure Mode Effects Analysis [FMEA]) and industry best practices for quality assurance and improvement. Provide leadership in creating a quality focus within the corporation through regular communication documenting the impact of quality and reliability on business performance.

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 BS/MS in Quality Engineering or equivalent Certification by the American Society for Quality as a Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager is preferred. Working knowledge of widely used tools and techniques for quality planning and quality improvement.  Demonstrated ability to provide instruction on these tools and to facilitate individual and group problem solving involving these. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
