Cost Accounting Manager

Pure Digital Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to manage the Company’s cost accounting function. This position will report to the Corporate Controller and will support the Company’s manufacturing and operations departments. This position is responsible for performing all of the cost accounting activities for the Company including the following:

 General Manage monthly general  ledger closings and account reconciliation documentation for manufacturing and operations related accounts including the preparation of all monthly cost and inventory related journal entries Generate monthly cost and inventory reports, as required Maintain lower of cost or market reserves on applicable inventory Prepare and analyze overhead-applied allocations to inventory Prepare scrap, usage and rework accountability/valuations Coordinate efforts to assure an accurate, perpetual and book inventory Coordination of cycle count program, and monthly general ledger closings for Operations accounts; Direct annual physical inventor

Reporting and analysis:

Prepare and report operational metrics Compute and provide analysis of manufacturing variances Preparation of expense vs. budget analysis within operations area Analyze gross margin actual to plan variances

 Budget and forecasting


coordinate and prepare input for annual plan and monthly forecasts maintain capital budget

Other

implement disciplines necessary to assure accurate standard costs direct needed improvement to the cost system review Bills of Material lead process improvement initiatives generate pricing models to be used in quoting new business other projects as needed

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 8 years accounting experience and proven leadership skills through managerial, supervisory or similar positions. You should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and effective communication skills. You must also be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have good information systems knowledge.
