Responsible for SQL server performance, data repair in the event of corruption and back-up/restore functions Write, debug and modify existing user interface applications and train users on database usage Write or modify existing reports Plan, design and collaborate with manufacturing engineers

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and a minimum of 5 years related experience Knowledge of, and experience with:   Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or later   Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and .NET (Minimum 5 years)   Microsoft Office development (Access, VBA, Excel programming) Must be able to learn and evolve systems Manufacturing operations experience is a must We are seeking a self starter who is organized and able to think through problems and various options to provide the most effective solution   Newport offers an excellent compensation and benefits package, a leading-edge work environment and opportunity for professional growth.
