Position: DEPARTMENT COORDINATOR I Status: Non Exempt Relocation: No Travel: Minimal Job Number: 15485 Location: Coppell, TX Date Posted: May-05-2008 Summary Of Position:Facilitate inbound and outbound logistics of customer LRU?s for repair, combined with continuous internal and external customer contacts towards resolution of repairs. Duties:Assist to log-in or log-out repairs as necessary. Provide current repair status to customers? inquiry. Contact customers to obtain proper written authorization when repairs arrive without a repair order/purchase order or have discrepancies, when, modification of unites is required and when repair charges require approval. Receive and perform special instructions from customers regarding repair or shipment. Expedite repairs within the shop, at vendor or units waiting parts. Maintain accurate records of requests for authorization and responses. Contact customers identified by credit department for cash in advance payment. Coordinate repairs with outside vendors. Prepare repair summary reports to be presented to the customers at semi-annual intervals. Work with Material Handlers to coordinate and expedite repairs to and from customers. Responsible for the prompt sending of all outgoing faxes from the repair station. Work with Engineering, Program Management, Order Administration, QA, Service Parts, Legal and Credit Departments as needed to provide or obtain information. Other duties as assigned by group lead or supervisor. Qualifications Required:Must have a High-school diploma or equivalent. Basic experience with computer applications (i.e. Word and Excel). One year general office experience, type at least 35 wpm Knowledge of basic mathematical functions and some accounting principles. Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both written and verbally in person and on the phone. Ability to interact with others in a professional manner. Ability to understand customer correspondence and repair/purchase orders. Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experienced in a Repair Shop environment is desirable, but not required. Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Requirement to lift, push, and/or pull boxes and/or carts (dolly?s) ranging from five to forty pounds on a daily basis.
