Design Engineer - Stamping

FCI Electronics,  USA is actively seeking a Stamping Design Engineer to join our growing development group at our Americas headquarters in the Harrisburg, PA area. Selected candidate will be an integral part of the Electronics Division New Product Development (NPD) Organization from product conception through tool transfer to manufacturing. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Collaborate with product design to reduce complexity while assuring Design for manufacturability (DFM).

· Participate with core stamping team in completing the PFMEA.

· Work globally to establish and deliver standard design protocols and standards.

· Complete die tool designs in Pro/E and AutoCAD from proto-type through high volume production.

· Maintain required documentation to assure compliance to procedures and tool integrity.

· Manage tool designs to keep projects on time and within budget.

· Prepare and deliver global presentations to project management.

· Purchase tooling and components from global suppliers.

Associate's degree (A. A.) from two-year university or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidate will have 5 years related experience in electrical connector tooling design and stamped metal materials,  Pro E or similar 3D CAD package,  GD&T,  MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS Project) and basic statistical analysis.  Written and oral communications skills are a must.

Global travel to suppliers and FCI manufacturing sites is expected.  On average, should not exceed 20% annually.  Selected candidate must be able to obtain passport and all necessary visas.

Salary and job title will be commensurate with experience and educational background.
