Our 14-acre campus features advanced photoresist manufacturing supported by 300mm equipment in addition to a class-10 CMP applications lab. The facility is fully equipped and staffed to provide real-time analysis and monitoring, flexible volumes and compliance exceeding ISO requirements.

EDUCATION

·  Minimum education: BS in engineering (materials, chemical or electrical preferred)

·  Advanced degree preferred - MS or PhD in chemistry, physics, or physical sciences or materials science.

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

·  Good computer, data analysis, and simulation skills are required; employee should be able to effectively execute experiments and document results.

·  Strong process engineering skills, with core competencies in chemistry or physics.

·  Good computer and lab equipment skills - including software programs such as excel, word, PowerPoint, and Access.

·  Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process

·  Knowledge of semiconductor process integration is preferred.

·  Knowledge of photolithography materials is preferred.

·  Experience using photolithography metrology tools (low/high voltage SEM, Film thickness measurements tools, and defect tools), exposure tools, and lithography tracks are preferred.

·  Detailed proficiency on leading photolithography equipment used in the industry including 193- and 248-nm scanners, coater developer, and photoresist technology are preferred.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Oversee existing and next generation research and development responsibilities for US customer base – including fundamental technology improvement in the area of KrF, ArF, EUV, imprint, high-index lithography, and all immersion lithography.

·  Actively develop new raw materials that will add value to product development activities that are based on supporting key customer needs. 

·  Work closely with JSR R&D in Japan, off-site JSR engineers in the progress of novel approaches to existing lithography challenges, such as MEEF, resolution limitation, and process window improvements.  This will involve improving relatively mature technologies, as well as forging the path to success on newer more immature technologies. 

·  Work closely with JSR R&D in Japan, off-site JSR engineers to investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions of new lithography materials or lithography methods. This will involve supportive functions for off-site JSR engineers.

·  Works closely with strategic raw material suppliers on improvement of existing materials to meet lithography challenges; designing and executing experiments that include polymerization, materials analysis (NMR, GPC, etc.), formulation functional processing (track/scanner) and data analysis; and preparing materials for internal and external discussions and presentations;  identifying and pushing new development ideas including, working with consortia, universities and strategic customers

·  Staying informed on latest lithography trends by participating and attending next generation lithography conferences and maintaining a thorough understanding of JSR’s lithography products, including advanced photoresits, dual spin-on hardmasks, topcoats and other ancillary materials.

·  Communicating customer needs and providing feed-back for on-going and/or future development activities by traveling to customer locations for presentations and face-to-face development meetings. This may include any type of joint development work with strategic customers.

·  Providing guidance to management to improve internal work processes, efficiencies and overall market position. 

·  Project management from a top-down perspective, as well as work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver tools to the product development group, that will be used to meet customer’s expectations.

·  Prepare material for internal technical discussions, along with external conferences involving data gathering, analysis, summarization, and presentation.

·  Occasional travel to customer locations for face to face presentations that cover on-going progress within the research team.

·  Motivates others to achieve common goals of quality, consistency, and dependability for customers and JSR as a whole.

·  Works safely by observing safety rules, policies and procedures.  Identifies unsafe conditions or actions to my supervisor.

·  Other duties as may be assigned.
