Job Responsibilities: Position Summary: This position is accountable for effective management of the Aerospace operations function and future strategy of manufacturing operations for Kavlico within these segments. Ensures compliance with manufacturing policies, material management practices, production cost targets and schedules, inventory levels and quality standards to maintain and grow Kavlico's competitive position and profitability.Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Establishes operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete and on-time delivery. 2. Establishes and implements manufacturing policies in the areas of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma concepts and techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures. 3. Manage all aspects of purchasing, production planning and scheduling, forecasting, inventory, shipping and receiving. Designs and executes strategies and plans to meet short-term and long-term chain management/production control requirements. 4. Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing policies and practices throughout the organization. 5. Recommends and implements strategic changes in manufacturing and operations strategy for Kavlico, Aerospace (Moorpark and Mexico). 6. Builds, develops and manages operations leadership team capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and improving employee relations. 7. Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships. 8. Provides leadership through planning cycles. 9. Oversees operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements. 10. Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. 11. Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field. · Leadership; a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. · Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span. · Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. · Manufacturing systems development and deployment. · Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. · Technical skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, Process Improvement, Materials Management and Production Scheduling. · Employee training and development. · Strong customer orientation. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · High performance teams and a strong team player. · Commitment to company values. · Computer proficiency.
