Currently we have an opening for a Director of Production Services in our Blu-Ray Authoring Center in Universal City, CA. POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for customer related activities, daily product operation including coordinating the creation, testing, and delivery of Blu-ray compression and authoring projects through all phases of production. Works with Director of Operation, Sales Manager and Managers of other departments to meet customer requirements and timelines. Responsible for Production Scheduling, workload distribution, maintain client relations and sales support activities.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-Provide pre and post sales support through liaison activities with Sales Manager-Gather customer requirements and relay expectations to production staff-Establish and maintain the systems, processes, guidelines for customer communication activities regarding project status, issues, and problem resolution.-Evaluates internal and external BD workflow processes and recommends improvements to Directors of Operations.-Assign projects to production services staff, monitor status, and determine necessary action to fulfill deadlines.-Responsible for all master material delivery for BD titles on including planning, scheduling, and coordinating elements on set timelines and deadlines.-Serves as the primary information resource for Title status during all phases of Title production including project launch meetings, asset collection and tracking, project status meetings, problem resolution, client review and sign off, final delivery of master, and return of studio assets for archiving.-Communicates project status and delivery information to all appropriate parties. Depending on availability of assets, prioritizes client projects and work assignments to ensure client needs are met and production staff is utilized efficiently.-Troubleshoots and resolves administrative & technical issues promptly so that Home Entertainment delivery dates are upheld and customer satisfaction is maintained-Establishes and ensures high level of service and satisfaction of client throughout the production process.ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATIONBachelors Degree or equivalent experience. EXPERIENCE/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years supervisory or management experience in a multi-media production environment with direct responsibility for client communication and customer satisfaction levels.Strong leadership skills required to assemble and develop group personnel, establish policies and procedures, and coordinate activities across the organizationDVD or HD production management or supervisory experience highly desirableUnderstanding of DVD and film, video, and audio formats a strong advantageHighly effective communication skills (both verbal and written) are required.Ability to multitask, establish priorities, and resolve complex problems quickly is essential.Must be adept at interfacing with all levels of management both internally and externally.Exceptional administrative skills are essential to coordinate cross-functional teams.Must be highly organized and detail oriented.Must be adept at negotiating through difficult or highly political situations (missed deadlines, customer dissatisfaction, pricing issues, capacity limitations)Intermediate knowledge of Windows software including Excel, Access, Word, MS Project, and PowerPoint is required.Candidates interested in this or any position with Panasonic should register and login at the Panasonic Career Center website below: http://panasonic.com/careersUnder Job ID: 15490We are committed to creating a diverse work environment and proud to be an equal opportunity employer (m/f/d/v).
