Electrical/Electronic Engineer - Dream Job!! Strong Company...

Our client has retained our firm’s services to locate a highly skilled Electrical/Electronic Engineer to work out of their Suffolk County manufacturing operation.  The company is privately held and growing exponentially in sales of their products and services.

 

The Engineer we seek must possess the following skills and abilities:

 

Summary:  To design, develop or modify electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies or components for both internal and external use.

Essential duties, responsibilities or skill sets include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1) Proficient in Microchip PIC Basic programming.

2) Design and analysis of analog and digital electrical circuitry.

3) Perform research as necessary to execute and complete the assigned task.

4) Design and fabricate jigs and fixtures.

5) Generate wiring, electrical and electronic assembly drawings.

6) Experience using AutoCAD, Proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel.

7) Technical writing; Test Procedures, Test Reports; and other support documentation.

8) The ability to solder to acceptable workmanship standards.

9) The ability wire, and generate prototype hardware.

10) The ability to collaborate with Peers and technical personal as necessary.

 

Education and/or experience:

 

·  A four year college degree or a minimum of five years related experience   and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the related field.

·  Language Skills:

Ability to speak, read, analyze, and interpret, in English, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

 

·  Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

·  Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

 

·  Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and interpret blueprints; use inspection gauges and precision instruments; familiar with inspection procedure; good mechanical aptitude;  Ability to follow instructions as set forth in drawings, manufacturing routings, documentation check sheets and procedures.

Able to use: micrometer, calipers, electrical test equipment.
