Electrical Shop Supervisor

Electrical Shop Supervisor Overall supervision of 2nd shift Winding, Assembly and Detail work centers within Production Operations under Electrical Shop Operations Management.  Provide overall leadership, monitoring and coordination of work centers and personnel in the performance of power generation, electrical equipment service work.  Production is carried out on a multi-shift basis in a service environment requiring fast response to short schedule durations.  Work involves both mechanical and electrical repairs of high speed rotating and stationary components of generators and exciters. Major Responsibilities: Coordination and scheduling Labor allocation Safety Quality Production efficiency On-time delivery Cost and continuous improvement metrics Skill and ability required to engage and lead a workforce Build good relationships through strong interpersonal skills Seeks to achieve objectives through mutual participation Strives to foster a culture and workforce that is motivated for continuous improvement.  Works and plans with other operations managers Establishing priorities and sequences for daily production operations Emphasize importance of production processes and methods Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure overall schedule compliance.   Reviews production and operating reports with shop operations management to help resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems so as to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.   Assists in development of standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance.   Provide input on personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.  Conduct employee appraisals.  Associates degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management or Manufacturing Technology required.  If the candidate does not meet the degree requirement a combination of relevant education and experience should total the equivalent of (5-7) years. work groups.  Must be able to perform at a learning level for all functions of the work group. PC workstation in a network environment.  Proficient in the use of office applications (MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc…) Technical knowledge through education or work experience with power generating equipment design and construction or related electrical equipment would be a plus in this position.   MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
