Electro-Mechanical Wind Turbine Technicians We are in immediate need of up to 50 electro-mechanical wind turbine technicians to join our team.  These technicians will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of wind turbines across the country.  Individuals with electro-mechanical experience in the wind power, oil/gas, avionics, and military industries are excellent fits. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:All contracted workers:Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions i.e. 20 F below to 120 F above with high winds, blowing dust and or snow.Must be able to climb towers up to 300’ in height, two to four times daily.Must be able to work in confined spaces. Please take a look at the job descriptions below: Commissioning Technician  · Travels to various projects as requested to perform commissioning activities. · Trouble shoots complicated anomalies within wind turbine generator systems. · Acts as a role model within a field environment to ensure all procedures are followed as required. · Able to work up to seventy (70) hours per week if needed to meet project schedules. · Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, work orders and reports in order to determine material requirements and proper assembly procedures.· Position, align, and adjust component parts to facilitate assembly.· Travel up to six (6) weeks at a time followed by four (4) days off for rest and relaxation.· Must complete any and all required daily paperwork related to the work performed at the project site. Ability to safety use electrical test equipment to verify resistance, amperage and voltage readings.· Ensures that all trash and debris is picked up daily around job site.· Inspect and test wire installations, assemblies and circuits for resistance factors and for operation, and record results.  Installation Technician· Travels to various projects as requested to perform installation activities.· Advises turbine installation contractors pursuant to the Company’s policies and procedures.· Coordinates with Company documentation personnel to enhance manuals and procedures.· Ability to operate a variety of torque equipment including supervision of such torque equipment.· Organizes and cleans tools as needed on a daily basis.· Ability to climb wind turbine generator towers for the purpose of torquing tower section bolts and lowering cables from nacelle to the ground in accordance with procedures.· Travel up to six (6) weeks at a time followed by four (4) days off for rest and relaxation.· Ensures that all portable equipment (i.e. generators) are inspected, cleaned and fueled each day.· Ensures that all trash and debris are picked up daily around job site.· Assemble mechanical and electrical systems including support structures; install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings.· Inspect and test wire installations, assemblies and circuits for resistance factors and for operation, and record results.· Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies and circuits for correct operation and record results.· Must understand proper techniques for towing portable equipment with work vehicles.· Completes any and all required daily paperwork related to the work performed at the project site.· Operates tag lines for loads being lifted by crane.· Attaches crane rigging and lifting devices to any load being raised into the air.· Gives both verbal and hand signals to crane operator for proper positioning of load being lifted.· Uses electrical test equipment to verify resistance, amperage and voltage readings when needed.
