Electronic Engineer

ELECTRONIC ENGINEER

FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will be responsible for the design of electronic/medical equipment, products and/or devices.  Will provide complicated design detail where needed and recommend modification to engineering designs as necessary.  Evaluate and select standard test equipment for use in the laboratory.  Set up project schedule, monitor progress and supervise technicians to ensure testing proceeds according to schedule.

•Must be able to manage the development analog and digital circuit modules used in medical devices.  Will be responsible for the research and development of concepts that form the basis of the product and must be able to supply prototypes and designs of a concept in a reasonable amount of time.
"Reasonable" to be determined by the department head.
•This position may require some management of support personnel.
•The engineer may be required to interface with other engineers in other disciplines in the development of projects.
•Other duties as assigned.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

The candidate will report to the Project Manager.  Typically, this will be a member of the Engineering Design Committee (EDC).

REQUIREMENTS:

Engineering degree or equivalent of six to eight years experience.  Experience in the design of analog and digital circuits, including embedded systems.
Proficient in Orcad.
