Job Description – Telemetry Elect Tech III

(Full-time/Unaccompanied Status)

***This position is located on a beautiful tropical island in the Marshall Islands. You must be willing to relocate. This is an unaccompanied position***

 

 

Applies technical knowledge to perform routine to complex tasks associated with the operations and maintenance of RTS Telemetry equipment; to include Antenna Control Units (ACU’s) recorders, patch panels, TGRS, receivers and antennas.  To include analyzing system requirements for mission support and working closely with the Telemetry Supervisor for assignment of resources.  Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits; repairing and aligning simple electronic equipment, taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.  Must be able to read electronic schematic diagrams for circuit tracing and troubleshooting.  Capable of receiving technical guidance as required from supervisor or higher level engineer.  Will be required to train subordinates or co-workers as necessary to enhance skill level and knowledge base.  May be required to act as Telemetry Supervisor in his absence.  Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Position: Full-Time

 

Security Clearance: Secret
Existing or recent clearance required
Positions at KRS locations may require citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.

 

The ideal candidate will possess

Required Skills: A minimum of 4 years experience as a Telemetry Technician.

 

Desired Skills: Previous experience in Telemetry at other ranges with additional

experience with Operation of TBSPs and TGRS.

 

Typical Experience: 4-6 years

 

Degree: High School: Degree from two year Techinical School Required

Major(s): 4 yr. Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
