Electronics Engineer / Product Development Engineer- ELECTRONICS

Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering; Masters degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics a plus.

Prior technical service and business support experience required.

Must have a strong Electronics problem solving background. 

Should possess strong customer interface skills and presentation skills and have solid product development experience.

Should have solid computer literacy, particularly as it relates to electronics design. Should be proficient in Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Word.

Possess high degree of electronics technical acumen.

Should have strong electronics knowledge with both analog and digital electronics circuits and products.

Good understanding and working knowledge of electronic schematics, including ability to design and modify electronics.

Experience or familiarity with communication products would be desired-microphones, speakers, PCB coating, two way radios, acoustics/acoustical testing techniques, PCB board trimming and electronics testing, etc.

Experience with 2-way communication radios, DECT systems, Bluetooth and other wireless products, FM and/or AM/FM radios, MP3 players, light weight headsets would be desired.

Must be open to travel of up to 50%.

Responsibilities:

Position will be the key interface between R&D, marketing, sales, and the customer to provide technical service and business support for new variants of existing products and to develop new and improved products.   

Direct customer interface.

Technical troubleshooting and problem solving associated with existing products

Project management.

Refining product performance specifications.

Work with manufacturers to implement new variants and products.

Merge electronics design into workable overall design.

Electronics troubleshooting and problem solving. Define electronic product performance problems, work with customers and external suppliers/manufacturers/consultants to develop solutions for electronic interface, interference and performance problems.   Modify electronic specifications and drawings. 

Utilize the most cost effective technology, whenever feasible, in the implementation of electronic solutions and provide an impact analysis of electronic design changes on potential cost of product changes and ease of manufacture

Manage several electronics design projects in parallel.
