Embedded Software Design Engineer

STMicroelectronics is looking for an embedded software designer who is creative, flexible, and driven. The Engineer will work with a team of engineers to design and implement software in compliance with the specifications using software development methodology and source control systems in designing system drivers and set top box networking software.

 

Experience:

Experience in C/C++, Network S/W programming, Linux/Unix internals, RTOS and Linux device drivers programming is required.

 

Expertise in one or more of the following specialized areas is desirable:

A. Home Gateway Network devices expertise e.g. NAT, firewall, IPSec security, SNMP, IPv6,  

QoS, UPnP, DLNA etc.

B. Set top boxes e.g. Audio-Video IP streaming/synchronization, H.264/MPEG-2 video

  decode/display, Cablecard/conditional access, DVR, STB bootloader, STB security.

 

EDUCATION:

- A BSCS or BSEE degree with 3+ years of Relevant Experience. MSCS/MSEE would be an advantage.
