Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America located in Peachtree City is looking for an Engineer, Market Quality to provide Market Quality Leadership for automotive-OEM warranty requirements. Responsible to urgently and effectively manage market quality deliverables, to continually improve & sustain optimum market quality/warranty performance. Is the market quality liaison between Panasonic-PASA/PASMX and the customer. Provides leadership, reports, presentations, and appropriate urgent response to related market quality issues lead the Product Development Team (PDT) cross-functional team, foundation of manufacturing, product and revenue for global strategies and responsible for P & L (Profit and Loss).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollects, analyzes, and collates warranty defect data daily and tracks each market return to completion of corrective action process.Creates customer desired defect reports (5P, 8D, HTR, etc.) for specific warranty returns.Creates warranty activity presentations and Warranty Field Reports. Presents this data to Customers, Sales, and Executive Management.Analyzes market defect trends and triggers corrective action activity and recovery. Performs Weibull Analysis. Tracks MTBF, MTTF. Presents this analysis and recovery plans.Creates modification instructions for service shops, tracks implementation, and establishes identification.Creates and maintains corrective action tracking mechanisms (i.e. Gate Charts)Determines root-cause responsible area for each warranty return (i.e. Design, Parts, Workmanship) and coordinates corrective action process through fruition.Performs in-depth investigations: Microscopic analysis, photographs, illustrations, materials analysis, defect recreation, on-site auditing at assembly plants, process auditing, component analysis, etc.Develops, maintains, and tracks warranty metrics: Claim Rates, Exchange Rates, Return Time, Analysis Time, Response Time, and Remanufacturing TimeResponsible for ?Dealer Scramble? activity and special problem investigations at customer sites ? Dealerships, Automotive Plants, or End User.Evaluates service shop quality. Tracks 2nd time returns, 2nd time NTF?s, same serial returns. Initiates corrective actions for service analysis and repair quality.Interprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.Performs other related duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTSFour year college degree in business, management, operation, engineering, technology or quality related field required.Minimum three (3) years of related quality experience and electronics defect analysis.Demonstrated proficiency with the computer application appropriate to the position and assignment.
