Engineer, Senior Sales-Flordia

Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. (MEAU) is part of a $40 billion global company servicing a wide variety of Industrial markets with a family of automation products. MEAU supports the automation needs of North and Latin American customers with combined sales, marketing, service, repair, engineering, training, customer service, warehousing and manufacturing resources. This focused approach is being completed through a facility in Vernon Hills, IL.

MEAU is seeking a Engineer, Senior Sales in the Florida area to promote and sell Industrial Automation products in assigned territory. 

An out-of-area home/remote office location can be maintained in the Tampa/Orlando area or surrounding areas.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under minimum supervision, promote and sell IA products in assigned territory. Travel assigned, as needed, to call on distributors, specified key/target accounts and qualified prospect companies to acquire new business.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify new customer opportunities and determine needed resources to close new business and generate additional revenue. Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from trade publications, business directories and trade shows. Travel assigned territory to call on key and target customers seeking new orders and maintain customer relations. Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company's production and delivery schedules. Quote prices for orders obtained. Review and prepare documents to meet customer specifications. Forecast monthly and annual business plan showing projected sales and quotas. Understand products, applications, markets and customers to better recommend solutions to prospective customers. Identify and qualify potential accounts that match Mitsubishi's product and application competencies. Execute developmental and application solution sales with end user, OEM, and SI customers at the enterprise and the operations/production levels. Successfully build relationships (internal/external) with customers to achieve assigned sales and corporate goals for Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. Daily interaction with customers (Internal/external). Represent Mitsubishi in a professional, ethical and socially responsible manner with customers. Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relevant to that required to fulfill job responsibilities. Attain monthly and yearly sales goals established by management. Complete assigned reporting activities in a timely manner. Perform other job functions as assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:BSEE, BSME in Engineering or 2 years Technical School degree with equivalent years of technical or military experience required. 7-10 years field sales and/or technical application experience. Minimum of 3-5 years Application Solution Sales experience at end user and OEM customers. Product knowledge/application experience in CNC, PLC, VFD, OIT, Servo/Motion products. Ability to excel within a developmental/Top-Down, solution selling model. Ability to sell direct and/or work with a Distribution Channel. Solid written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Organizational skills to manage schedule and travel in territory. Computer proficiency-knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
