Position Description:Broadcom's Wireless Connectivity Group is responsible for the design and development of end-to-end wireless products for the home, business and mobile markets. The Group develops Broadcom's 802.11/Wi-Fi®, Bluetooth®, and Voice over IP (VoIP) products. Wireless connectivity products can be found in mobile handsets, notebook and desktop computers, IP phones, home gateways, and other wireless-enabled consumer electronics and peripherals, such as printers, game platforms, and keyboards.Broadcom's WLAN board group is responsible for the development of the board products required by the WLAN group. These products range from high volume production and reference board designs for retail and major customer accounts to bring up, adapter and test boards to help bring up and characterize our WLAN devices. Responsibilities: • Design layout of complex, multilayer, high-density SMT, digital, RF and analog PCB’s. Create fabrication, assembly drawings, library component entry and prepare document release packages. • Check the work of other designers, along with reviewing designs from outside services. • Work effectively with design engineers, Systems Operations, bare board manufacturing and assembly facilities, and document control for product releaseQualifications:Qualifications/skills: • Senior level technical experience - excellent PCB design skills, with solid knowledge of one or more of the following tools; Cadence Allegro and Mentor Expedition.• IPC Designers Council Certification (C.I.D.) a plus. • Mobile Platform Experience is a must and knowledge of IPC specifications and common industry practices is desired.• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
