We design and manufacture both thick film and LTCC circuitry for use in commercial wireless, satellite, defense and medical electronic markets.DescriptionBROAD FUNCTION:The LTCC Engineering Technician will provide technical support and assist with production for the LTCC work areas and will use communication skills and technical skills to ensure that department goals for yield, material usage, productivity and delivery are met. This includes process development and improvement along with working closely with the operators to provide technical support to ensure that production goals are met. The LTCC Engineering Technician will need to be a hands on self starter with the willingness to learn and understand all aspects of the LTCC process. The LTCC Engineering Technician will also work closely the engineering department and with a number of support groups at all levels of the organization. The LTCC Engineering Technician will create a positive and motivating work environment.General Responsibilities:-Perform set-up and troubleshoot the performance of production equipment.-Evaluate process data as an integral part of process controls.-Write program files for software driven processes.-Review and disposition product utilizing electrical, dimensional and visual criterion.-Write and review technical documentation. Process specifications (P.O.D’s) Process flows and bills of materials Technical drawings-Assist engineering in troubleshooting the performance of the manufacturing line (product flow, equipment performance, Cpk calculation, etc.)MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: -Must be able to learn and perform all LTCC processes such as prunching, printing, collation, lamination, cavity generation, and firing. -Must be able to learn and operate all LTCC equipment particularly the Baccini punch, Baccini screener, Baccini collator, lamination press and routing machines.-Respond quickly to the needs of the production operators and engineering staff and maintain good working relationships. Provide direct support to the manufacturing work cells. -Train operators on set-up and operation of production equipment. Ensure proper certifications are maintained by operators. Provide leadership and training in the area of safety to prevent lost time accidents and ‘OSHA Recordables’-Support continuous yield and reliability improvement efforts. Efforts include set-up of equipment, process development, tool design and maintenance work as required.-Review and disposition product utilizing electrical, dimensional and visual criterion.Required Skills-Education – A High School Diploma or equivalent-Experience A minimum of 2-5 years of related manufacturing experience in a technician role.--Must have strong communication skills with an excellent grasp of the English language, both verbal and written-Must have the ability to work with microscopes and will be exposed to epoxies, solvents, solder pots, and paints-Must have the ability to learn and retain information regarding specifications, program set-ups, visual criteria, and machine operations -Strong analytical skills and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail-Possess the ability to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to learn new tasks quickly with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a dynamic, high volume and diverse environment-Candidate must have the ability to work well with others, as well as, the initiative to work independently with little supervision.-A work record that portrays high standards of attendance, conduct and performance.-Required Experience-Education – A High School Diploma or equivalent-Experience A minimum of 2-5 years of related manufacturing experience in a technician role.-Ideal candidate would demonstrate competence with the following: Scientific method of problem solving Spreadsheet usage (Excel) Word processing (Word) Process capability and statistical process control disciplines Technical writingWe offer competitive base salary commensurate with experience and education, incentive compensation and stock options.
