Equipment Maintenance Technician

Fab 4 is the world-class process development fab for Micron’s worldwide sister production fabs.  As an Equipment Technician in Fab 4, you will be responsible for monitoring, repairing, and improving your assigned area’s equipment.  In this position, you will monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use your mechanical and electronic skills to troubleshoot and repair down equipment. You can also expect to assist with equipment installs and upgrades and create and modify equipment procedures.  You will also work closely with the area development engineering team to test and implement tool upgrades while maintaining and working on your own projects for area and tool improvement. You will also work to increase tool uptime through systematic problem-solving and troubleshooting, quality workmanship, and routine review of maintenance checklists and procedures. You will use statistical process controls and data analysis to support and monitor the performance of tools used to manufacture our state of the art designs.  Additionally, you will respond to production issues and implement solutions, work to reduce operating expenses, and work to improve product yields related to tool inefficiencies.Successful candidates for this position will have:  Previous semiconductor experience or applied knowledge in a manufacturing environment (preferred). A strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to use schematic diagrams to troubleshoot electronic components to the board level. Experience with process control charts. Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills. Good time-management skills. A high level of self-motivation. Good computer knowledge that can be applied to documentation, analysis and troubleshooting. Education:AAS in Electronics, BS in Electronics Engineering Technology, or equivalent military experience is preferred.
