Facilities Engineer

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for supporting the company's overall facilities function and the implementation of the building design, construction and maintenance processes. Specific responsibilities include: Design new building systems to ensure that they are state-of-the-art, efficient, reliable supplied to the operation. Implement system installations to minimize production downtime and improve safety while being cost efficient. Manage building systems maintenance and repairs to provide superior employee comfort, safety and productivity. Identify and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Manage the facilities budget to improve financial planning and minimize expenses. Present collect data regarding the operation of the facilities to senior management team. Schedule facilities modifications, prepares cost estimates, bid sheets and plan layouts. Inspect construction and installation process. Coordinate projects involving all aspects of planning, implementation, and commissioning of the facility function. Responsible for supporting various departments with operations, maintenance, repairs, renovations and new construction activities. Direct and lead medium to large scale projects. This position is an "on call" 24/7 role. The successful candidate will have the following: BS in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering coupled with a minimum of 5 years experience in all facets of Facilities Operations in a Manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of trade specific codes, policies, and best practices for a variety of disciplines including plumbing, electrical, pipe fitting, HVAC, Scrubbed Exhaust, VOC Exhaust, Vacuum, Boilers, fire protection, and IT is preferred.
