Field Applications Engineer, Dell

For quick consideration apply hereWork with customers and teams throughout the company to maximize ON Semiconductor content in end customer's applications; primary technical contributor in the sales process. - Provide technical support during the sales process to a defined customer base and the OEM's in a specified region (May be required to help in other regions based on expertise) - Work with the sales department and the channels to ensure their understanding regarding the technical features and benefits of existing products - Provide new design and product definition features to ON based upon knowledge gained from interactions with the customers - Work with the marketing departments and factory application engineers in the creation of application notes to support ON products - Provide feedback to the business units to align ON Semiconductor product roadmaps with our strategic accountsProducts: Primary activity will focus on Linear and switching Controllers and Power MOSFETs. Position is in Austin, Texas, and is not budgeted for relocation; relocation would be at your own expense. - University degree in Engineering, MSSEE/MBA preferred - 3 to 5 years experience as a FAE or experience interfacing with FAE's in a design role - Excellent interpersonal skills - A thorough understanding of Power solutions - 5 years + design experience - Creative "out of the box" thinking - Management experience a plus - Understanding of Dell and AMD - A thorough understanding of analog power products is also required in this position.
