Furnace Technician

Job Summary:
Responsible for maintenance, operation, quality, and other related activities in the Melting area, including cullet handling, raw materials, furnaces, forehearths, lehrs and laboratory. Must assist and support all Forming area issues.

Other Requirements/Performance Expectations:
Certified for participation in confined space entry teams
Respirator fit test & physical exam required
ERT participation required
Job specific computer skills must be attained

Starting pay is over $19.50 with shift differential. We offer a competitive benefit program that includes immediate eligibility for medical benefits, vacation, and company match in our 401(k).

Successful candidates to train on day shift for several weeks before transferring to a rotating shift position.

We are a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Our regular schedule requires work on one or both days most weekends, but we do feature one 4 day weekend per month.

Must have experience with minor mechanical repairs, reading schematics and electronic control systems.
