Newark is looking for a highly motivated Global Supplier Business Director

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Dedicated supplier management for several complex and strategically critical electronics suppliers; manage a team of SBM?s based in the US; work embedded with the Newark and Farnell businesses, especially the Product and Supply Chain teams, driving execution in the Americas of G12 supplier programs which optimize sales, GM£ contribution, GP% stabilization; harnass cross- functional resources to facilitate delivery of the PF GEMS Business Agenda goals including Cash to Cash (C2C); for assigned suppliers; drive G12 multi-channel supplier-specific and technology bundled campaigns; drive supplier ROI culture; optimize contractual and non contractual marcom (co-op) contributions and inventory risk mitigation; act as a focal point for supplier understanding and communications;

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
GSBM for some of the largest and most complicated (?G12?) EDE suppliers;
Develop go to market strategies for assigned suppliers that are global in scope and which leverage PF opportunities Build regional and cross-regional product, marketing, purchasing and sales strategies to optimize gross margin contribution from assigned suppliers, ensuring ongoing programs are aligned and embedded with the business units Develop a thorough understanding of regional business opportunities in the Americas relating to margin optimization, product selection, commercial terms, marcom, inventory, pricing and supply chain while ensuring strategic alignment and leveraging global capabilities Develop and communicate our supplier value proposition; manage company communications to our G12 supplier base; Develop an extensive and effective network of contacts at the G12 suppliers and within PF Regularly assess PFs position with its supplier base; track the supplier strategies of our competitors; maintain selected market and benchmark indices;

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Proven people and account management skills, (customer and/or supplier) including matrix leadership Solid grasp of business and sales and marketing strategies with minimum 5-7 years business experience, preferably in Distribution of Electronics or related industry Strong written and verbal communications and inter-personal skills Experience of leading product, supplier, customer and/or marketing initiatives in B2C environment Proven excellence in negotiation; Strong analytical and reporting skills; Self-starter, able to work independently, e-savvy; Able to influence and work across divisions and cultures; Fluent in English with 2nd language preferable, able to influence and work across divisions and cultures; Projects professional presence, gravitas; College degree required; graduate business education preferred.
