Global Commodity Manager-Software & Print

Responsibilities for this position include: Taking a lead role in forming strategic supply assurance contracts and pricing agreements associated with Software and Print components as well as broader Supply Chain Management relationships; managing Turnkey and Hub suppliers in addition to tier 2 component suppliers; developing alternate world-wide sources of supply; managing key procurement/supply chain improvement projects; assisting in procurement policy creation, leading NI’s cross-functional Software NPI processes, driving improvements to NI’s worldwide customer On Time Delivery of Software products, owning strategy development and results for worldwide fulfillment of Software to include mass Upgrade distributions; helping insure compliance to ISO procedures and assisting in optimizing inventory levels. Skill attributes include:

Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel within customer, supplier and internal organizations Must prioritize effectively and simultaneously manage multiple projects Able to translate complex/strategic business requirements into contractual agreements Develop and strengthen relationships with key executives, departments, suppliers and customers Lead major cost reduction process improvement projects at multi-department level Able to develop, implement, then maintain corporate procurement policy Uses knowledge of market conditions and trends to effectively manage assigned commodities Create, implement, and monitor supplier performance metrics in order to achieve continuity of supply at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Demonstrates proficiency with PC data management/analysis software applications and word processing/data presentation tools.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree required and technical concentration preferred (industry certifications and/or Oracle experience will be a plus). Minimum 8 years of purchasing or equivalent related manufacturing experience (preferably in a print, disc replication, and/or Supply Chain Management solutions industry). Knowledge of print, disc replication, and/or Supply Chain Management solutions industries is highly encouraged.
