Global Key Account Manager - Telecom Power

 

Eltek Valere, headquartered in Richardson, Texas, is a $500 million provider of DC power systems to telecommunications and industrial markets worldwide.  The company has more than 1,300 employees with offices in 25 countries and sales to more than 100 countries and is one of the largest and fastest growing providers of DC backup systems for telecommunications, industrial, and enterprise OEM markets. We are seeking an experienced Global Key Account Manager having telecom and/or power supply industry experience. This position is responsible for managing the commercial relationship with one of our largest OEM customers.  Additional responsibilities and duties include:Proactive sales activitiesGlobal customer focus, i.e. initiate and coordinate activities globallyCoordinating all new business development activities (new markets, new products)Responsible for all quotations (close contact with OEM's Application Manager)Serves as main contact to the OEM’s strategic sourcing team Monitor customer’s needs and expectations (global presence, QA, prices, delivery performance etc.)Price negotiations, price roadmap, Order Office supportBudget, reporting, follow-up sales volumes and forecastMonitor product profitability; initiate and follow-up cost saving initiativesArrange general customer audits (e.g. QA, SPIP, FAT etc)Follow-up on project plans from specification to operationPrioritizing internal efforts on OEM activitiesInternal escalation point for OEM related issuesFollow-up internal processes (e.g. service, QA, supply operations) Establish and gather KPIs for management reporting (volumes, profitability, quality, delivery performance, service level, forecast precision etc)Follow-up contract commitments

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline or equivalent preferred.  Eight to ten years of technical sales experience in the telecom or power industry is required. Strong technical aptitude and ability to close sales is required. Proven sales track record with international sales and customers preferred. Ability ot travel both domestically and internationally is required. Excellent communication skills required, both written and oral. Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently, strong analytical skills and high attention to details Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook and ERP systems.
