Group Controller (Top Financial Position in US)

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of equipment for the chip industry, is a leader in several market niches worldwide, creating customized equuipment for each customer. They need a Group Controller to lead the company's financial function in the US. The position reports to the US President with a strong dotted line relationship to the CFO, who works for the European parent company. The US group includes a manufacturing facility in northern Vermont and and a small operation in California.

This position works closely with the President to develop and implement the business plan position. It oversees and directs budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, information technology, long range forecasting, cash management, and insurance activities for the company. It also oversees the treasury function, maintaining effective relationships with financial institutions, and it coordinates legal issues and contract development with outside counsel. It is also responsible for the functioning of the company's ERP system and the rest of its IT. The position supervises a staff of 7 in Finance and 4 in IT.

A minimum of 10 years of related experience, preferably in high tech manufacturing, is required for this position. Demonstrated experience in job costing and involvement in that aspect of contract development is criitcal. Experience with a large ERP system such as Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft is also critical; the company uses Oracle. Previous experience managing both Finance and It is also required.
