Position Description:

• Interface with silicon foundries for design tape out, mask order, production qualification, and production yield improvement. Ensure a smooth transition from development to volume production while utilizing strong leadership skills.• Work with Test Engineering to perform production ATE characterization and release Wafer Sort & Final Test programs to off-shore test houses• Correlate ATE production test results to system test results to ensure high quality production test screening.• Interface with marketing and planning to define production plan including marking spec, part number, data sheet, sample devices and ramp requirements.• Provide manufacturing cost analysis for new devices, clearly present options to design and marketing groups.• Lead/Guide other Product Engineers to support their devices. Provide guidance to overseas Sustaining PE team members. • Data analysis of bench and ATE tester data for product characterization, and yield enhancement. Work with Test Vendors to perform debug and diagnostic testing.• Work with Package Engineering on prototype and development parts assembly instructions to be released to assembly houses.• Interface with QA to insure reliability and qualification criteria are met. Document ESD, Latch-Up, HTOL, HAST instructions. Track reliability qualification activities.• Drive physical Failure Analysis activities.

Qualifications:

• MSEE or BSEE with equivalent experience • 6+ years experience with Semiconductor Product Engineering • Detailed knowledge of CMOS processes• Experience working in a fast paced development to production environment• Strong knowledge of ATE test programs and data reports - preferred 93K, Catalyst, A5xx• In-depth knowledge of statistical data analysis, SPC methods and tools• Data Mining experience using DataPower, JMP, Excel and custom scripts.• Strong communication and presentation skills• Project management and leadership skills• Design for Test knowledge is desirable.
