Newark is looking for a highly motivated Human Resources Business Partner. The primary purpose of this position is to provide HR expertise and direction to effectively act as a strategic business partner to the executive and line management of Newark?s Non Union Distribution Center by solving business people problems through traditional and innovative HR solutions.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide day to day direction and guidance to ensure the most effective utilization of people resources to support the achievement of business unit objectives. Participate in the development of short and long term business plans; works on HR design and development to support the business plans. Partners with Global HR team to focus on strategic HR planning, advice and consultative services; focus away from routine administrative personnel services; focus on a thorough understanding of the business being served. Assist employees in complaint resolution and work-related problems by mediating the conflict, directly or indirectly. Push customer to confront difficult issues by constructive dialogue. Provide guidance on interpreting HR policies in a fair and consistent manner across the organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
5 to 7 years of progressive generalist HR experience in a profit for business organization. Experience in distribution and/or manufacturing non-union setting preferred. Requires a Bachelors Degree in business or HR. Master Degree and/or HR Certification is highly desirable. Throughout knowledge of labor laws, including EEO, wage/hour, staffing, compensation, benefits, employee relations, unemployment and union avoidance. Demonstrated client/customer, consultative leadership approach
