Hardware Engineer Supervisor

Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians in the planning, development, prototyping, documentation, test and qualification of electronic designs for innovative and high-performance electronic devices.  The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and ensuring consistent project planning, technical development plans, FMEA and Risk Management, and design rigor throughout all projects that is consistent with and in accordance with FDA/QSR for Medical Devices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

BS or MS degree in Electronic/Elec Engr, plus a minimum of 10 years in the design and development of digital and analog circuitry.  Minimum of 1 year functional mgmt. experience, or project manager/lead.  Familiarity with analog and digital circuitry, PCB layout, EMI/EMC design and testing techniques, portable power/battery technology, and noise filtering.  Successful product lifecycle experience, from concept through product launch and into post-launch support.  Solid experience in Product Development Process.  Working knowledge of stage/phase-gate product development processes relating to medical devices a plus.  Stolid knowledge of Medical Device standards, such as FDA's QSRs, ISO, IEC, etc.  Experience with electrical CAD tools, such as OrCad schematic capture and PADS layout.  Knowledge of project mgmt. techniques such as scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.  Experience with MS Project, Gantt charts, and WBS.
