Position Description:Position:Hardware Verification ManagerPosition Description:A qualified candidate would be a hands-on verification manager, interested in steering an experienced verification team in implementing state-of-the art verification methodology while coaching individuals in career development toward LSI's long-term success. The manager will track advances in the verification industry in order to work with project leaders to evaluate and adopt new methodologies and tools into the verification arena on future projects. The verification team works closely with the digital design team, creating and verifying IP for today's storage SoC's.Required skills:- Experience managing a group of verification engineers.- Experience with module and system level verification of RTL and gate-level designs.- Experience with standard verification methodology: constrained-random stimulus; directed and pseudo-random test procedures; assertion-based checkers; code and functional coverage driven metrics; design of monitors and checkers for use in multiple levels of integration; regression methodology; verification firmware.- Familiarity with advanced verification methodology: class-based testbench structure, OVM, formal verification techniques.- Experience with FPGA prototyping/validation firmware is a plus.- Programming languages: System Verilog; C/C++; Vera; Perl- Use of Microsoft Project for producing project schedulesResponsibilities:The verification manager participates in the strategic planning and execution of design and verification activities for the IP and SoC team. The person must identify how verification of IP is accomplished, first understanding the architecture and complexity of the IP, then mapping verification methodology and resources to accomplish the verification. The manager also identifies key verification tools and methodologies that may improve quality of results and project timelines. A comprehensive verification plan is produced. The manager may have significant responsibility for the execution of the verification plan itself, balanced against the need to manage personnel in their day-to-day work and career development.
