Senior Hardware Engineer Skills Required: Hardware design, Analog/Digital Circuits, embedded systems, OrCAD, Filter/ Power Supply Design, Software Design Job Description: Job Title: Hardware Engineer Location: Las Vegas, NVWe are seeking a senior level hardware design engineer for our Las Vegas design center to be responsible for the development and testing of next generation motor control products. Our products include a motor efficiency controller designed to increase the efficiency of lightly loaded electric motors in applications including escalators, elevators, mixers, compressors and commercial appliances. In this role you will perform the following duties:• Determines hardware requirements and hardware design. • Design analog and digital circuits and subsystems including filters, power supplies, etc • Works with development team to isolate and troubleshoot problems on new and existing designs and fixing hardware design issues • Develops, troubleshoots and debugs embedded software for enhancements and new products using good software engineering practices. • Responsible for test planning, test case generation and test execution utilizing various testing techniques. • Contribute ideas for new product features and participate in competitive analysis. • Assist in the preparation of technical materials and manuals for new products. • Travel to customers to help in technical presales activities and troubleshooting of products maybe required..QUALIFICATIONS 1. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or related field; Preferred candidate would have 3 - 5+ years related development experience and some experience/exposure with digital design and embedded systems.2. TECHNICAL: The preferred candidate would have design and testing expertise both analog and digital circuits for embedded systems. Familiarity with Orcad schematic capture and layout tools required. The candidate should also have expertise in C and experience in modern software engineering technologies as a PLUS.3. INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Must be a quick learner that is able to work on their own and as part of a team.4. STRONG COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers. .
