Technical Service Technician (Helper)

Reports to:  Supervisor of Technical Services

 

Position Summary:

The qualified applicant’s primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair electronic modules and circuit boards as well as support ongoing efforts in the field.

 

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

 

·  To repair and maintain all lottery and track equipment

·  To perform trouble-shooting and problem solving techniques

·  To perform Quality Assurance evaluations on equipment repairs

·  To work with SG customers in the field implementation of equipment installations and on-going equipment maintenance

·  To clean, pack and ship equipment to customers

·  To maintain good customer relations

·  To assist with the development of written documentation and development of user manuals and training programs

·  To provide training to field staff and select vendors

·  To provide written reports and equipment logs in a concise and timely manner

·  To perform other tasks as assigned

·  Attend continuing education training sessions as requested and/or approved

 

Position Requirements

 

·  MUST HAVE – previous work experience troubleshooting and repairing PCBs to component level.

·  Two year electronics degree or equivalent training and experience (1 year bench repair experience a plus)

·  Demonstrate technical aptitude

·  Ability to read and interpret hardware blueprints and schematics

·  PC proficient

·  Excellent organizational and time management skills.

·  Good written and verbal communication skills.

·  Willingness to learn

·  MUST BE ABLE to work in a team environment where sharing information and working closely with your colleagues plays a key role in our success

·  MUST HAVE the ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion to support our ongoing efforts in the field
