 Position Summary: 

 

Directs and manages the technical support efforts which includes responsibility for all system software, hardware and IT administration and provides efficient, effective, and timely service to users in the facility and for corporate applications. (The computer operation runs 24 hours a day, five days a week). Responsible for operating within established budget and works toward obtaining objectives and division goals. 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

· Provides overall supervisory support to facility IT professionals in their assignments

· Coach and direct staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with departmental goals and objectives including staff training and development

· Coordination involving all aspects of the technical operation of the facility IT systems

· Coordinate and implement T&B corporate IT policies and procedures

·  Maintain PCs and printers to meet corporate standards

· Audit and insure facility software license compliance

· Audit and maintain the facility IT asset list

· Monitor and maintain corporate security standards for IT systems

· Responsible for establishing 1st level IT support at facility including updates to problem ticket database

· Responsible for preparing and entering the facility IT change controls and participation in the corporate change control meeting each week

· Knowledge of distribution system interface functionality, as required, to support the distribution facility

· Responsible for preparing and managing the facility IT budget including capital expenditures for all IT equipment

· Develop and maintain system related support documents and knowledge base for IT systems

· Generates and provides metrics for analysis

· Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Position Requirements:

 

· 5 – 10 yrs. of Personal Computer installation and troubleshooting experience

· MCSE or CNE Certification

· Server, PC repair and break fix experience

· Network and TCPIP experience necessary

· Windows OS(2000/XP/2003) and service experience

· Cisco and RF technology experience a plus

· GroupWise email or Novell network operating system experience a plus

· Familiarity with time and attendance systems – Kronos experience a plus

· Familiar with distribution (WMS) systems helpful

· Ability to maintain accurate records

· Good project management skills required

· Strong leadership skills with excellent written/verbal communication skills with exceptionalpeople/customer service skills

· Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with little to no instruction

· Able to work flexible hours as needed to be on call 24 hours, 7 days a week to address emergency issues when they arise

 

Education:

 

B.S. Degree in business or related field.

 

Work Experience:

 

5 –10 years Personal Computer installation and troubleshooting experience in manufacturing/distribution environment
