Melville, NY At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Communications intern in our Melville, NY location. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, energetic college intern to work in our corporate communications department this summer. The candidate will work closely with the corporate communications team in Melville, New York and Denver, Colorado (position is based in Melville). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Internet and be able to conduct research and benchmarking studies through various search tools. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with professionals at all levels. Minimum qualifications include strong writing, PowerPoint skills and analytical abilities. Experience with HTML is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Business or a related field. The time frame will be June through the end of August.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Help coordinate logistics for broadcasts, Web casts and corporate events - Collect and analyze survey data - Conduct research and benchmarking studies - Develop PowerPoint presentations - Write/edit news articles and press releases - Assist with assembling media kits - Post content on company's Web sites - Support the contributions programBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Educational requirement - college student - Years of related experience - 0-2 years - Strong written and verbal skills.
