For additional information, please visit www.amo-inc.com.  This position is responsible for the management and technical guidance of electronic engineers and technicians involved in the design, development and debugging of electronic hardware, control systems, software and mechanical assemblies of the AMO Femtosecond laser products.   Responsible for developing electrical engineering project schedules in support of overall project milestones for multiple projects.  Responsible for managing staff to meet those project schedules, and for informing management of technical and schedule risks Responsible for ensuring clarity and completeness of design requirements. Responsible for design and validation of system leveland board level electriconics, including embedded logic/firmware. Ability to interface with other department directors/managers/scientists.  Ability to facilitate group technical discussions (design reviews) and drive cross-functional teams to resolution of issues. Understand compliance requirements and manage compliance of product to applicable agency standards (EMC, Safety).  Understand design and documentation requirements for a Medical Device. Establishes policies, methods, and procedures for the Electrical Engineering department  BSEE (Masters Degree preferred) 10 years experience in electronics design/management.  5 years Medical Device and/or electro-optic/laser industry Ability to use Design/Development software Advanced Medical Optics offers a competitive salary and generous benefits package.
