MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - (#916M)

 

DESCRIPTION

This position works from our Corporate Headquarters in Spokane and will have responsibility for the mechanical assembly of products in our manufacturing locations in Mexico, China, and the United States and will work within a six sigma quality system and utilize lean manufacturing techniques.  The responsibilities include quoting assembly time standards for new customers, solving problems that are impacting manufacturing, specifying and designing capital equipment requirements for assembly, implement manufacturing processes to improve quality and reduce costs, and provide technical guidance and liaison between the factory, management, and the customer.  Other responsibilities include determination, cause, and disposition of rejected parts, creating process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, creating facility and line layouts, creating Manufacturing Assembly Instructions, design and implementation of assembly fixtures, participating in cost studies, and identifying cost reductions.  Some out of Country travel is required for this position.

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years experience in electronic manufacturing industry. 

 

Preferred - 8 years experience with direct experience in EMS or CM manufacturing environment.
