MOCVD Growth & Device Scientist

Responsibilities 1. Responsible for overseeing day-to-day operation of D180 MOCVD reactors and wafer fab processing tools (Litho, Plasmas, Metal, Oxidation or Dry/Wet Etch) used to produce AlGaAs-based VCSELs and photodiodes. 2. Coordinates wafer fab engineering, device design, die and package fab production, testing, reliability and related activities across different area/work centers to enable manufacturing.3. Solid background in compound semiconductor MOCVD crystal growth & device physics, and mask layout softwares, material characterizations and analytical equipments. VCSEL or photodiode device design, fabrication, and manufacturing experience is required.4. Familiar with wafer fab equipments, epi growth, fab processes, final tests, high-speed tests, wafer qual procedures, and failure analysis.5. Analyzes data and provide reports internally or externally.6. Reviews product request and specification from customers and follows conceptual design to meet customer requirements.7. Analyzes projects/proposals to determine feasibility, producibility, cost and production time.8. Evaluates product design for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specifications.9. Deploys the Quality Management System as it applies to the scope of work.10. Skilled in using SPC software and techniques.11. Travel as required.12. Other appropriate activities as assigned. Qualifications:Master degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, material science or physics.3+ years experience in production is a must.
