Position Description:
The Conexant Systems Set-top box VLSI engineering team develops complex multimedia SoC ASICs and subsystems for set-top box applications in the satellite, cable, terrestrial, and IP markets. The candidate will lead members of a VLSI design and verification team. The responsibilities will involve managing the design, implementation and verification activities of the latest set top box SOCs which implement the latest video and audio algorithms. The manager will be responsible for defining the architecture of design blocks, RTL design of blocks, block level verification, working with pre-silicon verification and back end teams to achieve coverage and timing closure goals. The candidate must have hands on experience in implementing SOC designs and guiding/managing others in the implementation, verification and backend activities.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering. They will have hands on experience of leading IC development team in delivering robust silicon. They should have 10+ years of experience in designing complex SOCs/ICs in CMOS process. In depth knowledge backed by on-the-job IC experience (10+ years) is required in some or all of the following areas:• ARM based SOCs• Audio and/or Video processing• System controller design for SOCs• Reset and clock design for ICs• Synthesis and timing analysis• Block/Chip level verification• Backend design including IR drop and signal integrity analysis• Post silicon validation• Design experience with deep sub micron process preferably 65nm• shell scripts, TCL, perl, etc
