Job Responsibilities:
This position is accountable for the HR Generalist roles within Fishers, Kitchener and the Distribution Centers. Provide support and direction in the administration of policies and procedures. Handle day to day employee issues and serve as a consultant to those business units. Additionally this position will spend approximately 30/35% of the time coordinating, aligning and delivering organizational development programs that support and meet business requirements along with coordination of recruiting, screening, placement and transfers of potential and current employees within the organization. This position will require travel approximately 50% of the time.
Other responsibilities include:
Coordinate the employee recruitment activities with the recruiting center for non-union positions for levels under Director.
· Coordinate the internal process for recruiting, for positions Director and above processed internally, including coordination and participation during the interview process. Provide leadership and assistance to the hiring manager during the staffing transition.
· Participate in various cross functional group initiatives within the organization
· Lead a team to implement a new employee orientation program
· Evaluate existing programs within Schneider Square D : determine synergies
· Develop mechanisms to measure cost and ROI of investment in training programs
· Responsible for the overall recordkeeping /database of corporate training initiatives
· Cultivate relationships within all levels of the organization and be employee advocate for non Des Plaines businesses.
· Provide Generalist support to the Fishers, Kitchener and our DCs on all HR issues.
· Serve as liaison for corporate for those facilities on issues of benefits, payroll, legal and governmental compliance and Employee Relations
· Partner with HR management where needed in the deployment and administration of company policies.
· Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of training initiatives and cost for training, per division
· Demonstrate approachability, professional demeanor and leadership qualities
Successful candidates must be capable of performing duties as defined by the JLG Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality Management Systems.
A 4 year business degree or equivalent and a minimum of 7- 10 years experience in related field are required.
