Manager, Quality

Job Responsibilities: This position is accountable for managing the total quality system concepts and efforts at the plant level, including C2Q and ISO 9002 registration. Provides the administrative and technical leadership for product testing, conformance to specifications and process quality measurement. Participates in the formulation of Quality policies and operating procedures. Manages ISO 9002 documentation, implementation and registration for the plant. Manages audit structure for system documentation to maintain ISO 9002 conformance. Manages implementation and evaluation of the C2Q continuous improvement process concepts for the plant. Manages and provides technical leadership for product testing and quality assurance for all plant products. Provides appropriate quality measures in all areas necessary to determine present levels and progress toward continuous improvement. Participates with customers' Quality Assurance representatives to provide maximum customer satisfaction with the products produced and delivered by the plant. Assists Engineering and Manufacturing in resolving defective materials and parts and recommends disposition consistent with maintaining product quality and minimizing scrap costs. Assists in the training and coaching of plant Quality Engineers.
