The Opportunity:Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a senior level Manufacturing Engineer to work in a team-oriented environment, leading new product introductions into manufacturing, working closely with Research and Development. Manufacturing Engineer:Responsibilities: Lead new product planning and development and execute Manufacturing Development Plans. Develop, implement and improve efficient, high quality manufacturing processes, operations and tools. Analyze and process Engineering Change Orders; coordinate with Product Engineers. Provide technical leadership to product operations; assist supervisors with new techniques, procedures, processes and problem solving. Perform motion and time studies. Input capacity planning data, perform resource and capital monitoring and planning. Improve the performance and efficiency of the manufacturing area by measuring and analyzing well-defined processes. Qualifications: B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical engineering 7 years experience in electronic manufacturing processes and surface mount technology and equipment Manufacturing experience including quality methods/ISO 9000 Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in team environment Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and prioritiesPreferred Qualifications: Knowledge/experience in surface mount technology and design for manufacturability Knowledge/experience in system level assembly Knowledge/experience in sheet metal fabrication and application APICS certification desirable DOE training a plus Knowledge/experience in MRP/ERP systems, product routings, and bill of material construction An Award Winning Company Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.
