Our plant in the Poconos, Eastern PA needs a unique individual with a varied background. Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. Good knowledge of mechanics, fluid dynamics, machining & tooling support, and general plant engineering practice. Responsible for Plant Capital requests and spends. AutoCad Experience a plus.
Maintenance management experience preferred. Overall responsibility for maintenance, 3 shift operation, 3 full time maintenance personnel. MP2 maintenance software install- job one, MP2 experience a plus.
Purchasing experience a plus. All raw material, shop supplies, maintenance part ordering (avg. 4 POs/Day), vendor relationships, and communications on purchasing flow, status, delivery dates, and issues. AS400 experience a plus.
Estimated 20% time plant engineering, 35% of time purchasing, 45% time supporting maintenance functions (MP2, ordering parts, research of part numbers, addressing breakdown issues). This job will requires a highly organized person able to multi task and make priorities on the fly. Very dynamic environment with great challenges and high exposure throughout the Morgan Group.
Job Purpose:
Improves manufacturing operations by recommending equipment purchases; monitoring and supporting equipment installation. Obtains requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment. Maintains systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervising staff.
