Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Serve as primary technical interface for the manufacturing/operations organization and lead the efforts to successfully execute NPI programs.Manage the implementation of new products in operations to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.Manage design-related yield improvements to reduce scrap, improve cycle times and eliminate other forms of waste.Provide guidance to R&D engineering regarding design concepts with respect to design for manufacturability and test to achieve best product quality and costs.Develop efficient and error-proof manufacturing methods to support ongoing improvements in cost and quality.Investigate and resolve operational non-conformances and customer-related issues.Provide timely and effective technical support for day-to-day problems impacting production output, quality, safety and cost.Assure proper documentation of manufacturing processes and technical data consistent with quality and engineering policies and procedures.Supports materials group in vendor selection, qualification and problem resolution.

DPSS Laser and LPSS Laser manufacturing experience required.Semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing experience required.B.S. degree in Engineering or related Manufacturing discipline. Seven years of experience in design and development of laser, beam delivery and laser- based systems.Five years management experience.
