Manufacturing Operations Manager

 POSITION SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONHas primary responsible to direct all aspects of the manufacturing process in the U. S. High-Reliability Passive Components Operation.  This includes: effective management of manufacturing, production personnel, product development, engineering, quality and planning to maximize sales and ensure long-range growth. There will be extensive interface with customers on pricing and technical issues.  PERSONNEL SPECIFICATIONS: Formal education:BS Degree in Business or Engineering a Master of Business preferred.Background and experience:A minimum of 15 years experience in the manufacturing high volume sophisticated, electronic components, of which a minimum of 5 years is in a middle level management position.Must have a strong operational and technical background. Must be a self starter who does not require daily follow up and can gain the respect of experienced managers.  Special qualifications and requirements:Requires excellent communication skills, must be able to motivate and inspire subordinate personnel.  Must be a superior leader and maintain a daily working relationship with senior management.  Must possess an in depth working knowledge of passive electronic components.  Ability to use personal computers programs.Duties and responsibilities:Lead plant in production schedules, goals and objectives ensuring that all plant and corporate production and quality objectives are major priority.Must manage the process and product engineering staff.  Work closely with customers on scheduling and pricing. Work closely with customers and technical staff.Meet or exceed profitability objectives.Lead technical efforts to improve Passive Component Product Line.Must manage complex projects and bring them to completion on time and within budget and present results to corporate VP and CEO.
