Marine Electronics Technician

Maritime Electronics Sales & Service Organization is seeking a Marine Electronic Technician with the following qualifications and relevant experience.

Requirements/Responsibilities:Experienced Technician in Electronics in the Marine IndustryThree to Five years Minimum experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of all types of navigation and communication equipment on board vessels, rigs, offshore platforms, yachts, cruise ships, etc...Current FCC GROL license w/radar endorsement and GMDSS Maintainer License required (if you do not currently hold these licenses, you will be required to obtain them within 90 days of employment)Current Passport requiredMust be able to work in the United States without sponsorshipMust be able to pass a background check to qualify for the new requirements to obtain a TWIC cardOvertime and travel required - We operate 24 / 7 / 365 with on call weekend duty rotationResponsible for completion of equipment repairs and installations as requiredPrepare for service or installation job by collecting necessary parts, obtaining manuals, software or technical information as available to complete the job first time rightPrepare follow up paperwork and preparation of accurate and detailed service reports to be completed and turned in within 24 hours of completion of jobMaintain accurate time and expense reporting related to each individual jobEnsure personal compliance with safety regulations of the company and the customer at all timesEnsure compliance with ISO Quality guidelines and corporate procedures at all times

Must be computer literate

Positive attitude, self motivated, team player that is able to work on their own or with a team requiring good communication skills.  Interfacing daily with customers, manufacturers, agents, captains, ship owners and builders.
