Multiple positions are open for experts in motor, generator, transmission, distribution, and industrial power systems product lines. Positions are available in Pullman, WA, and King of Prussia, PA. Marketing Engineers – Distribution, Transmission, Motor, Generator, & Industrial Responsibilities: Determine new product requirements and write product requirements specifications Develop and maintain expertise in electric power system protection and control practices Determine opportunities to apply new technology to electric power system protection, automation, monitoring, and control Understand electric utility and industrial markets, SEL customers, SEL sales force, and competitors Promote SEL products and technologies by educating customers, sales force, field engineers, and customer service representatives. Deliver presentations, write technical papers, flyers, and datasheets Represent SEL at industry technical meetings and standards committees Work with product group manager to plan product life cycle. Define product features, positioning, pricing, and sales forecasts Qualifications: B.S. in Electrical Engineering Working knowledge of electric power systems and power protection equipment Excellent technical writing, speaking, and presentation skills Knowledge of product life cycle planning and market positioning Willing to travel up to 25% Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications: Experience in motor, generator, transmission, distribution, or industrial protective relaying Experience in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems Experience in utility or industrial power systems plant operation Product marketing experience Knowledge of product life cycle planning An Award Winning Company Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.
