Marketing Events Manager

The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for planning and coordinating company seminars, tradeshows and lead generation campaigns.  In addition, the jobholder is responsible for managing the Co-op budget and the day-to-day activities of this segment of the Marketing Department.  Provides on-going support to the Sales Department as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning and coordination of seminars, tradeshows and lead generation campaigns.Executes contracts for off-site meeting space, catering, lodging et al. Executes tradeshow contracts and rental coordination. Develops on-line registration process for special events. Manages HB event registration process. Manages event budget.

Key support for managing appropriate activities through co-op and marketing development fund.Identifies opportunities (tradeshows, mailings, web specials, search engine optimization). Tracks available funding. Monitors programs - expiration of funds, forms, etc. Execution of all co-op procedures.

Analyzes costs and effectiveness of various marketing, advertising and promotional programs.Manages spreadsheets to track marketing expenses. Reviews and approves vendor invoices. Reports expenditures and co-op income monthly to supervision.

REQUIRED SKILLS:Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Internet savvy.  Knowledge of Administrative Tools for Web Stats.  Knowledge of ListServs or Bulk E-mail delivery. Understanding of marketing and advertising concepts and ability to use them effectively. Excellent oral and written communications skills.  Detail oriented.  Organized.  Ability to give effective presentations. The following skills are a plus: Photoshop, Front Page, Fireworks, Publisher, HTML, and ACT. Must have a valid CT driver's license and clean driving record.
